The Spring-Summer 2013 Hardy Amies collection draws on a narrative based on the lives of not only Sir Hardy Amies but also the photographers Cecil Beaton and Lee Miller and the parallels within their experiences. From pre-war glamour to wartime solemnity, followed by the ‘New Reality’ and later optimism with the ‘Peacock’ generation of the sixties, the collection reflects each period with English tailoring, military colours and luxe evening wear.
