Hardy Amies royal connections inspire the Autumn Winter 2013 collection, leading to an imagined connection between Balmoral and the Bauhaus school of design and a reinvention of traditional tartan.  This ‘Bauhaus check’ is a repeated motif, interpreted for tailoring, outerwear and accessories using exclusively developed checks with British mills William Bliss and Minova.

Seasonal colours follow a palette inspired by Bauhaus artists Josef and Anni Albers and focus on French blue, forest green and rust. Interpreted sartorially through every part of the collection, the colours particularly emphasize a contemporary approach to heritage inspired outerwear.
